Washing Cars, Building Culture: A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way

At Pacific Perks, we believe that showing appreciation doesn’t always need to be grand or elaborate—sometimes, it’s as simple (and soapy!) as a good old-fashioned car wash.

Last week, our Operations Team rolled up their sleeves, grabbed the hoses, and surprised our incredible Perkologists™ with a complimentary car wash. Why? Because we know they go the extra mile—literally and figuratively—every day to bring smiles, coffee, and unforgettable experiences to our clients.

It wasn’t just about clean cars (although those windows were sparkling); it was about community, recognition, and a little unexpected fun. Moments like these are how we live out our value of Support & Celebrate—one of
the core elements that drives our culture.

When we take care of our people, they take care of everything else. This was just one small way to say: “You matter. We see you. And we appreciate all that you do.”

After all, it’s more than a car wash. It’s Perking It Forward—the Pacific Perks way.

I did my “Perk It Forward” event today Gaiser
Middle School. My younger daughter transferred in May of last year. She was very much in need of the amazing support & awesome staff that work Gaiser.

My sister-in-law is the head of the SCP program there & was able to filter her right in with all of the love & support she needed. Being that she just turned 13, she’s definitely kept the staff here on their toes & I am grateful every day for their kindness & compassion for my daughter.

This school is packed full of phenomenal humans that deserve way more than just a coffee cart but I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to give them this gift today. It’s state testing week so these teachers & staff really needed a perk 😆

I worked as a visit specialist for a couple of years, hand in hand with several social workers and DCYF (Department of Children, Youth & Families). When I was given the opportunity to serve someone/someplace with a complimentary espresso cart to give back, it was a no-brainer on who I wanted to choose. Our social workers daily go above and beyond in their jobs to try and keep kids safe in our community. It was an honor to serve them at their “Soup”er Bowl luncheon.

The Pacific Perks team and Saving Grace founders
Annually, in December, we pick a local charity to give back to. This year, our team chose Saving Grace Maternity Home. With your help, we donated $10 from every Eggnog/Cider Upgrade sold in the month of December. On January 14th, we presented a check for $1070 to Cindy and Skip Sorum, the founders of Saving Grace Maternity Home – A residential home experience for single, young, homeless women in an unplanned or crises pregnancy or parenting a child under the age of one.
