Zoia’s commitment to A Caring Closet runs deep, stemming from a personal experience that ties her closely to the organization. In 2019, Zoia faced a challenging health crisis when she suffered a brain aneurysm that led to a three-week stay in the ICU and Neuro floor. Upon returning home, A Caring Closet played a vital role in meeting her durable medical equipment needs, leaving Zoia forever grateful for their support. This profound experience propelled Zoia to join the organization’s board two years ago, where her dedicated service has now culminated in her appointment as President.
